Fight For Cure is a non for profit organization made up of young professionals between the ages of 21-35. FFC is based in Philadelphia and raises awareness and money to help benefit the Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson located in downtown Philadelphia.

This organization was founded by Michael Patlakh in 2009 and aims to donate as much money as possible with a yearly black tie event and community minded fundraisers in between. FFC is growing everyday and the support is endless, currently FFC is run by a main ‘executive committee’ which consists of people who are the lead conductees’ of executing all FFC events, fundraisers, and committee meetings. The executive committee works in collaboration with shining-stars, known as the ‘committee associates,’ and Philadelphia’s elite social network of event promoters and party hosts.

Michael Patlakh, Founder & Chairman
Michael Patlakh is a 29 year old entrepreneur currently residing in Philadelphia, PA.  Michael had a vision for an organization that helps the continuation of cancer research after losing a love one to cancer.  His main goal is to raise awareness to the youth of Philadelphia about how important the continuation of cancer research is to Philadelphia and the rest of the world.  “We all know someone or have a love one who has suffered or survived this deadly disease, it’s our mission to make sure everyone is aware and everyone helps to continue the battle”.  Michael is extremely dedicated making Fight For Cure one of the largest cancer oriented non-profit organization in the Philadelphia area in the upcoming years.

Blair Britt, Vice President

Blair Britt
is a graduated of the Fashion Institute of Technology with a Bachelors Degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications. She is currently a Buyer for GSI Commerce. She is 27 years old and resides in Philadelphia, PA. Blair has been with Fight For Cure since its inception. She has lost several family members to this deadly disease and is determined to help in anyway possible to raise awareness about Cancer. This is a very close and personal goal that is dear to her heart.  Blair is proud to be involved with FFC as the Vice President of this organization. She believes that every little piece helps; “We get one chance at life, we are all put here for a reason…that reason is to do the best we can do and to help others in need in anyway possible. Fight For Cure represents just that; young, passionate, selfless, determined, young professionals who are willing to donate their time and energy so the youth of our world can have a healthier future”.  She looks forward to the future of FFC.

Alexis Small, Public Relations
Since beginning her career in Public Relations in 2003, Alexis Small has quickly garnished a reputation for herself as an expert in the areas of marketing and media relations.  Alexis has had the opportunity to work closely with the media to garner publicity for her clients, and has been able to attain top placements across print and broadcast mediums, on both a local and national level. In addition to her dedication to publicity and special events, Alexis is also very committed to her involvement in community affairs. While currently serving as a Board Member for “Fight For Cure,” to benefit The Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson Hospital, Alexis has also helped raise funds and awareness for several additional organizations, and participated in such philanthropies as: The Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation, breastcancer.org, The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House, Steppingstone Scholars, Inc. and Mommy's Light Lives On. Alexis was born in Philadelphia, and currently resides in Narberth. Earning a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations from The Pennsylvania State University, Alexis has also taken numerous post-graduate courses in Journalism at Temple University.
